I don't understand why I must be automatically subbed to a thread in which I write a comment. Currently, the "unsubscribe" button is not even available after I comment, I see it only after someone else has commented. So I must take active steps to go back to every single thread and click to unsubscribe.
Of all the threads in which I comment very few catch my real attention and I want to see how the topic develops, the rest I comment and I'm done. Instead, my homepage feed is spammed with replies I don't care to read.
It should be the other way around, that is I decide whether I would like to actively follow future comments.
So I propose a change where the automatic sub is eliminated and instead a "subscribe" (a better word would be "follow" btw) button is implemented to appear either during the captcha or right after the comment is published.
