Matched nonstop with hackers, trolls, spammers and weird throwaway accounts since January – I'm done

full stop,

op is absolutely right on this point and not paranoid and not tilting { ^(what the frog what's that need to psychoanalyse people, pour pov on them, instead of sticking to the matter, the issue(s), arguing with and by informations ? gee) }

Op asked about our experience. And in my experience this is NOT the case.

When I travel to the UK, I keep telling them they are driving on the wrong side of the road ... but they don't listen to me

However, I know I am right ...

And they don't even know what an English muffin is!

"I'm beyond exhausted with this.

I have literally been playing since January, and very rarely encountered this kind of situation.

At worst, it happens sometimes that my opponent stalls for a couple of minutes, then plays the worst move for me and I am like "wait, did he just entered the position in an engine ?", but then I realize it may also be totally normal to find the best move after a couple of minutes thinking.

I also realized that learning just a couple of things gives you a big edge on opponents who do not. I don't know if you look at video content, books or anything but if you don't, I would advise you to.

Anyway, take a step back. Chess is a game, it has to remain fun. Your whole life does not depend on it. Maybe engage the zen mode in the option ?

Have a good day.

"I'm beyond exhausted with this. Since January, almost every blitz/rapid/casual game pairs me with the same garbage

Definitely an exaggeration

obvious cheaters playing perfect engine moves from move 5 with 98-100% accuracy and zero inconsistencies

Accuracy =/= cheating.

trolls who stall/resign/abandon the second they lose

What's wrong with resigning when one is losing?

or make the most idiotic moves to waste time

Report them.

spammers flooding chat with nonsense/links

Report them

and now especially these super suspicious throwaway accounts with ridiculous usernames like asdfasdf, yyyyttttrrreee, trtrt_trtrt_rtrtr, random repeated consonants/numbers (qqqqwweerrr, zzzxcvbbb, etc.)

There goes the forum etiquette...

and literally 0-10 games played total – obviously testers, bot accounts or hackers cycling through alts.

You're paranoid.

It feels like the matchmaking is just dumping all the toxic/problematic accounts onto normal players.

Delusional?

Is anyone else getting this nonstop since early this year?

No.

Anonymous pools are the worst

What did you expect? They're ANONYMOUS.

Lichess team, please fix the pairing system or improve cheat/troll detection – it's making the site unplayable for honest people.

See earlier comments

Any workaround[...]?

I'd say "take some meds"...

agreed

those issues are there

op only made the fault to say "nonstop", and such "only", which is of course way too exaggerated

answerers make the fault to bite that (unconsciously laid) bait only and instantly .. ' ' hey i discovered a logical incondistency - lets call it out loud ' '

yeah, i was thinking , he was exagerrating to paint an expressive picture employing a stylistic device ....
