A little friendly challenge.

Race to 2450 aleks vs slam.

What is it?

This is our little dispute in the general chat a-r in TG. It appeared completely by accident and spontaneously. Here is a part of that dialogue:
Slam: 2500 and I filled it in 2019)) And that's it.
Me: We are waiting for 2500 in 2025.
Slam: It sounds like a challenge. Come on, who's ahead. I suggest starting with 2450 as a goal. And on a bet))

And you must admit, it's quite interesting! The struggle of two strong players to overcome the bar in the ranking, and even with prizes for the winner. Anti played with different colors after that, didn't you? :)

Terms of the dispute

"Slam, okay, I'm ready to accept your challenge. Only with minor amendments.
1. The goal is 2450, without battles with 1700, only hardcore.
2. We will start on February 1st. And let's make sure that we both have a rating of <2400 from the very beginning.
We play until the end of July.
3. I'm winning - you've got tarragon and cheese. (ˇ∀ˇ)
You're winning, I'll charge you beer and cheese.. {{{(>_<)}}}
If we both lose... Well, Idk, two clowns.
4. The margin of error is up to a day. That is, if we score on the same day, then it's a draw. We count the end of the day by the most convenient time in the world (since we are both in the same time zone) - the Lysvaburg time zone (+2 Moscow time | +5 UTC)
5. Any TC, even 5 +5 or 1/2+0.
Well, that's probably it. "
We decided not to put the referee in charge, we're playing fair. We trust each other.

What will happen after that?

And after the dispute, there will most likely be a meeting at the Ekaterinburg. \_(ツ)_/
At least I hope so. It will be quite interesting to play live against one of the strongest. But these are still castles in the air...
I think this dispute will serve as a small boost to the development of friendlier relations among the players of the FAR. And maybe someone would also like to challenge someone else? It will be a good growth for both participants of the race.

A little bit about St. Petersburg

A live meeting in St. Petersburg is getting closer...
I'll arrive in the city on Sunday morning, and leave on Tuesday evening, so I'll have plenty of time to walk around the city and meet. :)
We will most likely meet on Sunday afternoon (26.01) at one of the restaurants. Let's play anti, get to know each other personally and have a delicious meal.
Maybe I'll bring some small gifts.
I will inform you about this in the newsletter closer to 20.01.

See you in St. Petersburg!
