Making a Fantasy Game out of Chess

Every unit can only wear 1 Upgrade at a time.

Poisoning mechanics are about ranged combat.
Attacking with Poison without moving is only working on Bishop Diagonals.

You can counter Poisoning attacks with normal Bishops that get an armor thst makes immune to bishops.
Or you can upgrade to Poison immunity.

Queens with Poison upgrade can poison bishops with immunity to Bishops. But not Bishops that are immune to poison or Queens.

So ranged combat is also possible and gets a strategy.

Armor upgrade cost is 1,5 Pawns income
Poison upgrade is 3 Pawns.

Weapon upgrade for bishops that want to penetrate Armor against bishops cost is 1 Pawn.

For a ranged poisoning Bishop you get 2 normal Bishops which can guard the diagonal. And remove the poison bishop if he starts poisoning.

Keep in mind that a poisoned unit can't get removed the same turn, poison was cast.
So a poisoned unit always gets the option to attack back.
