Is this just me? Lichess doesn't seem to detect end of game on checkmate / timeout etc

When a game is over due to checkmate / timeout etc, it isn't being recognized by lichess. There seems to be no "game over" type of event and therefore no command buttons to return to (for example) an arena or play another opponent (if playing in a pool). If I refresh the browser it goes into the analysis for the game.

I've tried restarting the browser and my Win 11 Pro PC, but it's still happening.

A screenshot might help because I'm not understanding what you mean.

I'm tempted to blame Firefox somehow. I wonder what other developers might think.

I have Windows 10 and Firefox no problems with timeout or checkmate. There is end of game result. My only problem is there are instances my opponent's 8 seconds never ran out.

Seems like a disconnection to me. Does it happen for every game or once in a while?

It's every game.

It might be a internet issue
My internet is fine. I am connected by LAN to my cable modem and have 1 Gigabit broadband. No probs.

Glad I'm not the only one! Do you use Firefox too?

@TheWellHeeledKing does this happen with other browsers?
I don't know. I only use firefox. I'll give chrome a try.

You're probably right. I'm not sure but I think the issue started after the most recent Firefox update.
