Teaching methodology
My teaching methodology is centered around building a deep understanding of key chess concepts, with a focus on positional play and endgames. I begin by breaking down complex ideas into digestible segments, ensuring that students grasp the underlying principles before applying them. Through structured lessons, I emphasize:
1. *Positional Understanding*: Teaching how to assess and improve positions by focusing on piece activity, pawn structure, and key squares.
2. *Endgame Mastery*: Helping students recognize fundamental endgame techniques, promoting the ability to convert advantages and hold draws in difficult situations.
3. *Practical Application*: Incorporating regular analysis of classical games, solving puzzles, and playing training games to reinforce concepts.
4. *Critical Thinking*: Encouraging students to develop their own thought process by asking questions and exploring different approaches during both training and actual gameplay.
This approach ensures students not only learn key principles but also develop the ability to think independently and apply these lessons in real games.
