Author of 2 books and countless chess courses.
I graduated Law at University in Belgrade.

Playing experience

I started to play chess at age of 9.
I was very successful at many cadet championships.
Junior Champion of Serbia in 2012.
Played two times Serbian National Championship.
I have won many blitz and rapid competitions in my career.
Member of Chess Club ,,Naftagas" in the First Serbian League.

Teaching experience

I started teaching 9 years ago.
Many of my students are cadet and junior champions of their countries.
I also assist many adult players in achieving their goals.
I coach all levels, from beginners to players aiming for FM, IM, and GM titles.
Staying motivated is key, and together, we can reach any goal you set!
With all my students I have friendly communication and a good relationship.
In my 22 year chess career I have never had a chess teacher! So, I know best how hard it is to have good results on your own.

Other experiences

I graduated law at University in Belgrade in June 2018. My goal is to become a successful lawyer.
In my free time, I go in the gym and play basketball.

Best skills

I specialize in:
- Searching for opening novelties for my students
- Building their Opening Repertoire
- Tournament preparation

Teaching methodology

In our first lesson, I test your skills to see your current chess level. After that, we focus on the parts of your game that need the most work. I want our classes to be relaxed and fun, because that is the best way to learn!

At the end of every class, I give you homework and tips for your next steps.

What we will work on:

Openings: Creating and fixing your opening repertoire.

Middlegame: Improving your tactics and planning.

Endgames: Essential rules and principles.

Game Analysis: Looking at your games to fix mistakes.

Preparation: Targeted training for your upcoming tournaments.

Practical Advice: Tips for real tournament games.

I strongly believe in using drills for every part of the game - strategy, middlegames, tactics, openings, and endgames. I believe that solving a huge number of drills is the only way to make serious progress.

My brothers, GM Miloje Ratkovic and FM Petar Ratkovic, and I use this exact method with our students. We are achieving fantastic results in our chess academy together.
