Teaching experience

Since 2017, I have coached students from beginners to advanced players, focusing on developing their technical skills and strategic thinking. As a three-time Chess Olympian and former member of the Philippine Chess Team, I integrate competitive insights into my lessons, preparing students for both friendly and competitive play.

I specialize in working with young learners, teaching the basics to beginners, and refining tactics and strategies with more advanced students. My approach emphasizes patience, independence, and resilience, helping students grow both as chess players and individuals.

Teaching methodology

🍀Individualized Approach: Tailoring lessons to each student’s skill level and goals.

🍀Foundation Building: Emphasizing basics for beginners, including rules and piece movements.

🍀Advanced Strategy: Teaching tactics, decision-making, and in-depth strategy for advanced players.

🍀Practice-Based Learning: Using exercises and real-game scenarios for hands-on skill application.

🍀Life Skills Integration: Fostering patience, resilience, and independence through chess.

🍀Ongoing Assessment: Providing regular feedback and progress checks to guide development.
