Hello everyone, I am Alejandro Alvarado Díaz IM from the Canary Islands in Spain, chess coach.

I’ve been playing chess since I was 10 years old and have competed in a large number of international tournaments in different countries.

I have over 15 years of experience as a coach, working with students of all ages and levels, both online and in person, with a friendly, personalized approach.

I have coached several Spanish Champions and many players who have reached the podium in different categories, from Under-10 to Under-16, in both the open and girls’ divisions.

Opening knowledge, I have played almost every opening so it is easy to adapt to my student. For me it is very important the middle game that normally emerge from the opening. And I love to play endgames so I try to make my students like it as well.

I always prepare my lessons with hard work and enthusiasm and I expect my student deliver the same hard work and enthusiasm to me and the lessons. I adapt my classes depending on the needs of my studients, trying to reduce their weaknesses and support their strengths. I provide deep analysis of your own games, for me it is essential to see your mistakes to try not to commit them again.
