THINK blog Volume 2 Chapter 18
Nearly there...My fellow members of THINK, my fellow fans (or at least users) of Lichess, things are looking up!
You may be really excited, you may be fed up with everyone and his flipping dog wishing you well days or weeks in advance, you may be ambivalent. It certainly feels like longer than a month since the last installment of this blog (though in fact it's not even a month), I don't mind telling you. But however you feel about it, whether you are celebrating it or not, Christmas is very nearly here.
If you need a lift, perhaps to get you through that last mad rush, then there's good stuff contributed by the chess personalities of our team including its leaders here. If you reckon that you'll be ready for a break from it all (at the latest) by tomorrow evening (UTC) then you might want to read about the special enhancements for Liga.
And speaking of Liga, here's (one reason) why it's good for you to play: it offers opportunities to kill giants
This blog was to feature results of special events in the preceding few days but despite the generosity and enthusiasm of those involved the plans proved overly ambitious. Still, if you can't overdo it at Christmas then when can you? Oh, actually there's a thought...
CELTIC CULTURE CORNER
Traditionally, the big holiday for Scots is Hogmanay from which you'll need about three weeks to recover, just in time for opening the single malt scotch (preferably that of a small, independent distillery) for Burns Night! We at THINK are marking the occasion like this so don't miss out.
To read any of the above you may have to join THINK, but I predict with high confidence that you will be glad that you did. There is still time to play the Christmas edition of Brainbox Challenge too...
FWIW my strategy: Enjoy, and take very good care of yourselves (not least so that you can take care of those around you).
