Amazing Matches In Tata Steel 2026

Tournament
Tata Steel is going on! Let's look to perfect matches in Masters, Challangers and Qualifiers groups.

Tata Steel 2026

Tata Steel 2026 started at 17th January. It has three groups like Masters, Challengers and Qualifiers. So let's give information about Tata Steel 2026!
Yesterday, round 10 finished. And tomorrow Round 11 will start.
The scoreboard shows us GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov is in the first place with 6,5 points.

Amazing Matches

So now we will look to amazing matches in Masters group. Then Challangers and Qualifiers.

Round 10: GM Matthias Bluebaum vs. GM Anish Giri

https://lichess.org/study/zT2y158S

Let we analyse.
In the 12nd move, Bluebaum played h3?!. He had a plan to push g4 and push back the knight. The computer says Rb1 is the best move because Bluebaum can attack to b7 pawn and when Giri plays b6 he can play a4 and attack from the queenside.
After 2 moves, in the 13rd move Giri played Ng7 but the computer says he have to sacrifice the knight and play Qh4 attack to h3 pawn and this will be make a huge void in Bluebaum's kingside.
But when we look to the 15th move, Giri played h5. He tried to attack from the kingside but Bluebaum found the only move, Ng2!. Attacking the queen and sacrifing the pawn for Rf3!.
After that match, Bluebaum surpassed 2700 rating. And the match finished at 25th move. Bluebaum played with 96% accuracy and Giri played with 86%.

Round 2: GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov vs. GM Praggnanandhaa R

https://lichess.org/study/E8jovjni

This match was so excited because both Grandmasters played with +90% accuracy.
The first mistake came from Praggnanandhaa in the 31st move. d4 is a mistake for computer because the position was almost draw and Praggnanandhaa gave a big oppurtunity to Abdusattorov. Computer says Nd2 is the best because with that move Praggnanandhaa can hold the draw. But the match ended with Nodirbek's win.
When the position was draw in the 42nd move but Praggnanandhaa did a mistake again and gave a very big oppurtunity to Nodirbek with playing Rf2?. The position was 0.0 before that move but after that move the position became +3.9.

Round 7: GM Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus vs. GM Arjun Erigaisi

https://lichess.org/study/2X32XKWC

This game was one of the very exciting matches because Yagiz Kaan won with a bishop and 2 killer pawns to a rook.
Yagiz played with 97% accuracy to Erigaisi and the match's first mistake came from Arjun in the 31st move again (like Praggnanandhaa's match! :) ). Computer says Nd4 is a mistake because with that move Arjun gave a very small oppurtunity like -0.2 to Yagiz Kaan. But Yagiz Kaan can't see it and played Bc4?!. Computer says he have to play Bxd4.
And the killer move is h3 because Yagiz Kaan has three promoting pawns; h3, a3 and b2.

Last Match

Last of all, we will look to a Challengers match.

Challengers: GM Aydin Suleymanli vs. IM Carissa Yip

https://lichess.org/study/5EnCVe2c/xUys2vOr

This match was so exciting because Aydin played with only 95% accuracy doing only 2 suspicious move.
Carrisa blundered in the 33rd move, playing Rc1?. Aydin found the only move, Nxe4!. And Carrisa played h5 and she didn't see she just gave a free rook.
